Now trading shares and FX is made a lot easier.
IG Group Holdings, a UK-based trading company, is going to launch one of the first online trading apps for the Apple smartwatch.
How cool is that? Remember the days when you still have to use a communal phone just to place orders? Well, trading sure has come a long way.
Tamas Szabo, IG’s Asia-Pacific boss, said that they’re excited to be a part of the evolution of trading and happy to create something of value for their clients, adding that they believe trading on a watch is another important step in simplifying the trading and user experience.
The move to create a trading app is obviously driven by the growing number of IG customers that use mobile devices for trading, with the company wanting to take advantage of a market that is expected to progressively increase in the future.
Want to get the app? Well, all you have to do is download it to your iPhone and it will automatically install itself into your Apple Watch.
It will then allow you to buy, sell and monitor stocks, as well as spread bets across a number of asset classes from the watch through a “one-tap” log-in.
Perhaps the most notable feature of the app is the economic calendar that reminds you of major financial events as well as macroeconomic events and how it affect your trading position.
To keep you up-to-date on your positions wherever you are, the push notifications on the iPhone app will automatically sync with the watch.
The app will be available on April 24, so make sure to download it on that day.
