House Republicans were fired up and ready to go for their conversation with President Obama at their annual retreat today…However, after Obamas strong performance, some Republicans are now regretting that decision.
Barack Obama, for an hour and a half, was able to refute every single Republican talking point used against him on the major issues.

For roughly an hour and a half, Obama lectured GOP leaders and, in a protracted, nationally-televised question-and-answer session, deflected their policy critiques, corrected their misstatements and scolded them for playing petty politics.
So effective was the president that Fox News cut away from the broadcast 20 minutes before it ended.

US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told lawmakers Wednesday he acted properly in the 2008 bailout of AIG and the subsequent disclosure of payouts from the insurance giant to major banks.
Geithner said the actions were aimed at financial stability and that authorities “did not act to help foreign banks.”
